So.....it's been a while since i've posted anything....but the biggest thing i can think of is..i got a puppy!! her name is Zoe, and she is 3/4 mastiff and 1/4 wolf. i thought she was half and half because her mom looks full wolf, but apparently i was told by the great almighty Jon that i was wrong ( i think he's wrong, as you can tell) regardless, she is adorable and sweet and smart and adorable and sweet and smart. she is pretty much already potty trained after only 4 days. i believe that deserves a high five for her mother. there are no bad pets, only bad owners, so i am a good owner. i have been crate training her since day 1 as well, and the first 3 nights were horrid. Zoe howled like a wolf, and kept us up all hours of the night, plus she kept my cat Molly up too. very annoying. last night was the first night she was actually quiet for the majority of the night. and then jon went to put her and her crate and he said she didn't try to fight going in and didn't cry. so i think we are on our way to improvement about the whining and howling. now, i feel comfortable about leaving her in her crate while away for a few hours a day, and i don't have to worry about her tearing EVERYTHING up and chasing my cat. i also have been clicking training her, and she is taking it to it pretty well. still trying to get her to sit, but she 'comes' and does her 'biz' really well. molly is taking it pretty well actually. the 2nd day she came out of the bedroom and explored while Zoe slept. she now comes out while Zoe is awake and hangs out on the window sill and just watches her. shes very interested in this other creature. i think and have faith they will be best friends and will be cuddling non stop. tomorrow i will start the leash training, and see how she takes that. i think she will be okay with it. next is obedient school.i'll keep ya posted more about our new baby!!!!
